The magic of healing through music
St Johns Park High School is proud of our partnership with Evan Yako. Evan moved to Australia from Syria in 2005. He is a full-time session drummer working in Fairfield with a range of national and international artists in producing music.
Evan supports a number of our students from refugee or trauma backgrounds, and students who struggle with self regulation through his project "Healing through Evan Yako's drumming". Students who are having difficulty with everyday life are able to use music and drumming to find connection and purpose.
