Connecting with all students in our community
Our local area has a vibrant community of primary schools that work in partnership with St Johns Park High School.
Our school continues to build strong relationships with our local feeder primary schools. We understand that for primary school students, the transition to high school can be a daunting experience. We ensure that all students feel welcomed and supported by offering a number of opportunities to participate in life at St Johns Park High School.
Our partner primary schools include: Bonnyrigg Public School, Edensor Park Public School, Governor Philip King Public School, Harrington Street Public School, King Park Public School, Prairievale Public School and St Johns Park Primary School
Some of our programs include:
- A glimpse through the high school gate - Students participate in a number of taster lessons for students in Years 4 and 5.
- Mathmatics Olympiad - Encouraging problem solving and a love of maths. See our photos from the 2018 Olympiad at this link.
- Science Show - Celebrating Science Week each year with a range of experiments and hands on activities. See our photos from the 2019 Sciene Show at this link.
- Invitations to student exhibitions such as: Year 10 Mental Health and Year 9 Organ Donation Expo, Environmental exhibition at our local creek, musical performances and raising awareness for disadvantaged groups.
