About us

St Johns Park High School is a large comprehensive school serving a multicultural community. The school prides itself on a well-disciplined student body, supported by an extensive student welfare network. The school places a strong emphasis on the wearing of school uniform and implements progressive anti-harassment and anti-bullying programs. The school caters for the learning needs of a diverse range of students through project-based learning activities, an innovative high-performance program, and a learning support team. A large senior school student body ensures a broad senior curriculum that provides a complete range of general, advanced, and extension courses. Transition to work is also well supported by a large number of vocational education courses in most industry frameworks.

Our history

St Johns Park High School is a comprehensive coeducational high school in South Western Sydney. St Johns Park High School was founded in 1978 due to the increasing population of the area. It began with seven classes of Year 7, consisting of approximately 175 students and 17 staff. The first Year 10 cohort graduated in 1981. The first Year 12 cohort graduated in 1983. Within six years, the number of staff had increased to approximately 96.

At its largest, St Johns Park High School provided quality education to over 1700 students, with the school needing over 10 demountable classrooms to cater for this large number. Currently, the student population is approximately 900 students.
