Accelerate

Accelerate Scholarships is a three-year program designed for Year 10 students to develop their leadership and resilience, and to start thinking about their future pathways. This program provides students with one to one mentoring and financial scholarships for disadvantaged students. The mentors will continue to check in with students throughout the rest of high school and in their first year of tertiary education.

If there are any students interested in participating, please contact their Year 10 Year Advisors.

Aspirations

Aspiration is a mentoring program for Year 11 students to broaden their awareness of career options and help them make informed decisions about their choices and pathways beyond school. Students will work on improving their problem-solving and critical thinking skills, relevant to any future endeavours.

If there are any students interested in participating, please contact the ABCN Coordinator.

Focus I and II

The Focus and Focus II program is a Year 11 female empowerment program that helps students build the essential leadership skills they need to engage in a successful, meaningful career. Female executives mentor the students in small groups to develop their skills and build their confidence, encouraging them to aspire to senior roles in business and the community.

Innovate
Innovate is a mentoring program designed to encourage the uptake of STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) subjects in Year 7 and 8. Interview skills (i2i) Workshop

A one-day program designed to equip students with the necessary, practical skills needed to engage in employment options beyond school. This workshop provides students the opportunity to experience realistic interview scenarios in a corporate environment. It enables students to test and practice the theory they learn at school by working with a mentor who is able to provide direct and relevant feedback and advice based on their own job interview experiences.

This workshop is offered through Year 10 Commerce.

If there are any students interested in participating, please contact Ms Cagorski.
