Australian Business and Community Network (ABCN) is a leadership and mentoring program aimed at broading students horizons and preparing them for future success.
In the past students have been mentored by executive professionals from Optus, Commonwealth Bank, Allen & Overy Law, KPMG, Hall & Wilcox Law Ernst & Young, Gilbert & Tobin, National Broadband Network, and Navitas international.
Accelerate Scholarships is a 3 year program designed for Year 10 students to develop their leadership and resilience, and to start thinking about their future pathways. This program provides students with one to one mentoring and financial scholarships for disadvantaged students. The mentors will continue to check in with students throughout the rest of high school and in thier first year of tertiary education.

Aspiration is a mentoring program for Year 11 students to broaden their awareness of career options and help them make informed decisions about their choices and pathways beyond school. Students will work on improving their problem-solving and critical thinking skills, relevant to any furture endeavours.

The Focus and Focus II program is a Year 11 female empowerment program that helps students build the essential leadership skills they need to engage in a successful, meaningful career. Female executives mentor the students in small groups to develop their skills and build their confidence, encouraging them to aspire to senior roles in business and the community.

The Future Thinkers program is for Year 9 and 10 students. Over a one-day session, students will work with mentors, developing their creative and innovative problem-solving skills through the process of design thinking.

Innovate is a mentoring program designed to encourage the uptake of STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) subjects in Year 7 and 8. It aims to build confidence and learning in these areas as well as the students’ understanding and knowledge of STEM careers. The program is structured over three sessions.
A one-day program designed to equip students with necessary, practical skills needed to engage in employment options beyond school. This workshop provide students the opportunity to experience realistic interview scenarios in a corporate environment. It enables students to test and practice the theory they learn at school by working with a mentor who is able to provide direct and relevant feedback and advice based on their own job interview experiences.
This workshop is offered through Year 10 Commerce.
